Behind The Artworks: Arkham - Marginado (2025)
The cover artwork of ARKHAM’s Marginado EP is closely tied to the trilogy’s narrative and
serves as a visual conclusion to the story. It represents the closure of a cycle that began
with Ansiedad, where inner struggles not only affect the individual who suffers them but
also indirectly those around them. Along this path, the figure of El Caído embodies the
confrontation with one’s deepest fears.
In Marginado, the artwork introduces a new element: the labyrinth. Here, anxiety is
shown trapped within the tree of El Caído, torn open by multiple hands reaching from the
outside. This imagery conveys both the exposure of the illness and the desperate search
for healing, while at the same time suggesting the impossibility of fully escaping from its
enigma.
Visually, the cover ties together the previous two singles, highlighting the exhaustion of
the person battling the illness. This is reflected in the harsher vocal delivery and the wall
of backing voices that reinforce the intensity of the struggle. Lyrically, the song turns
inward, delivering a message of self-reflection: to trust oneself, to resist external
pressures, and to hold firm to one’s morals and principles even when circumstances
worsen.
