Behind The Artworks: Evocatus - Inevitable Death (2025)

Vaughan: "After the majority of the album was written and the theme of the album was apparent, I reached out to Pierre-Alain Durand of 3MMI Design who created the artwork for both 'Morten in Deos' and 'Parth to Tartarus'. I gave him the following description of what we were after as a concept and let him run with it.

 

"The theme of the album is death, sticking with the Roman / Greek historical influence. We are running with a working title at the moment of "Inevitable Death". I was thinking something along the lines of a Spartan funeral pyre. The colour theme is open to what you think works best, but maybe it is at night, so dark, but with the fire of the funeral pyre to provide light. It all depends on what you can do. A hooded figure in the sky background, overlooking the scene, to represent Mort, the Roman god of death."
