Interviews: Abissi

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Psychedelic Rock/Heavy Rock band Abissi from Italy. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or come up with it just like that?

Abissi means Abysses, we liked the name cause he described well our state of mind in those days

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We have been playing this genre since we were 17 years old. We grew up with this music, and we know how to manage it well.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we were all friends coming from different bands

4. Each band member's favourite band?

These are our favourite bands:

Agostino: Alice in Chains

Alessandro: Black Sabbath

Me: Nirvana

Luca: June of 44

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our life experiences, our trips, our emotions

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Turin, Italy

7. Where would you like to act?

I'd like to play in Amsterdam one day. Also, Seattle would be good lol

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I played and shared the stage with many great American bands, but I'd like to share my work with Joshua Homme one day...

9. Whom not?

I don't know

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Nope, never. My advice is be yourself and don't give a shit about what people say 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Qotsa, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Melvins, Los Natas, Beaver, Dozer, etc...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Merch for free 😄

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans, we make music for the people, not only for ourselves

I like it, very well done and informative
