Interviews: Under Black Sky

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Under Black Sky from the USA. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out just like that?

The name came from a moment, not a meeting. One night, after everything fell apart, it just hit — like a sky that forgot how to shine. 'Under Black Sky' wasn’t picked… it was lived.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because it’s the only genre that lets you scream and still call it music. It’s raw, unfiltered emotion. Pain, anger, hope — all at once. We needed a place to put everything we couldn’t say out loud.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some of us had crossed paths — scars that echoed. But we didn’t truly meet until the music formed. It was like waking up in the same dream and realizing you weren’t alone anymore.

4. Each band member’s favourite band? 

The Prophet: Iron Maiden.

The Seer: Guns & Roses.

The Executioner: Stabving Westward.

The Redeemer: Motley Crue.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Personal trauma. Questions that never got answered. We write for the people who feel too much and say too little. Every track is a message to someone still bleeding quietly.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played an invite-only show in a decaying warehouse. No lights. Just shadows and signal. Everyone who came left marked. We don’t just want to perform — we want to infect.” …. Before that, "Trees DALLAS TX"

7. Where would you like to act?

Abandoned churches. Glitching cities. Places that feel like something broke there and no one fixed it. But honestly? Anywhere we can connect with real people who are tired of fake.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Artists who feel deeply and aren’t afraid to speak it. Ghost. Howard Jones “light the Torch” Wage War, Sleep Token. Or someone unknown — someone underground who’s burning with something to say.

9. Whom not?

Anyone chasing trends. We’re not interested in algorithms — we’re interested in connection. If it’s not real, we’re not doing it.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Yeah. Most of us have. It’s real. But the trick is… stop performing. Start confessing. Say what you came to say, not what you think they want to hear. That changes everything.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Bring Me the Horizon, Wage War, Ghost. But also things like old horror soundtracks, ambient noise, and uncomfortable silence.

12. What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

One asked to be 'tattooed with a real codex glyph using ink mixed with ash from a burned lyric sheet.' We declined… but we were flattered."

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're not fans — they’re part of the story. Every person who resonates with our sound is someone who’s felt that same internal fracture. We see you. We’re with you.” They are a part of “the Order Beneath” 

14. What do you think of our site?

If you’re asking questions and giving voice to the underground, you’re part of the signal. Much respect for that.” Wish there were more out there like you!
