Behind The Artworks: The Human Tragedy - Upon Waves, The Inferno (2025)

We have always been a fan of older style art pieces for our works. We were sifting through ideas and when this one came up the title came to me. “Upon waves, The Inferno”. We enjoyed the difference in color scheme on this one as well. It inspired me to write lyrics about the ship in the painting and how it’s an empty vessel that just sails endlessly. Forever aflame. I enjoy writing lyrics that tell fantastical stories. I have always enjoyed fantasy novels and have my share of Tolkien-inspired themes as well. So far each of our albums that I’ve been a part of have had some epic fantasy story in some way. Sometimes I try to find a metaphor to relate to current states in society but sometimes it’s just a story.
