Behind The Tracks: Queen Golem - Erase (Single) (2025)

“Erase” was born from the idea of fighting negative thoughts that never truly disappear. The song explores the struggle for self-control — trying to keep those voices locked inside, while realizing that suffocation may be the only force strong enough to silence them.

The track was written entirely on guitar by Jonas Vandewalle. Once brought to the rehearsal room, the band made a few small adjustments to the structure, shaping the song into its final form. All instruments and vocals were then recorded and edited at Jonas’s home studio, capturing the raw energy of the band in a personal setting. Vocals by Yarno Lammens gave the track its intensity, while drums by Niels Wouters and bass originally tracked by Glenn D’Hondt added drive and weight. Finally, Marvin at Tide Studio in London handled the mix and master, bringing clarity and power to the song.

For Queen Golem, “Erase” represents a new chapter. With the addition of Yarno, Niels, and Karel Monsieur on bass, the band has embraced a heavier and more progressive sound. It’s the first step toward the upcoming releases planned for 2025, and a statement of where we stand now: darker, tighter, and ready to move forward.
