Interviews: Adam And The Hellcats
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Punk Rock band Adam And The Hellcats from the UK. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? You planned it, or did it just come out like that?
Honestly, it was a drunk idea at a house party back when I was studying music in college. People always look for hidden deep meaning in these things, but genuinely, this was just a drunk idea that stuck, and it seems to have paid off
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Because rock n roll is the only genre that ever truly spoke to me. Since the moment I saw Rick Parfitt (STATUS QUO) hit the first riff of Caroline when I was 10 years old, and I said to my dad That's what I wanna do for the rest of my life
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
The answer to that one is mostly no, but I've known Zak (guitar) for about 20 years and Tony (drums) since the day I was born.... on account of him being my dad!
4. Each band member's favourite band?
Tony (DRUMS): Saxon
Eddie (BASS): Hawkwind
Zak (GUITAR): The Doors
Cirwen (2nd LEAD VOCALS): Pierce the veil
Steve (KEYTAR): ACDC
Adam (GUITAR, LEAD VOCALS): Status Quo
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
That's always a hard question to answer because it'll vary song to song, but I mostly try to keep things quite positive. Sure, we have our introspective moments in the songwriting, but we always just wanna make people feel good.
6. Where was your last gig?
The Victoria in Swindon is opening for Babylon AD from the USA. damn good night. I wasn't that familiar with them, but it's definitely a band I'll be looking into more. Top guys too!
7. Where would you like to play?
Well, the dream is Donnington park being the home of British rock and metal, but I'd happily settle for KKS Steel Mill in Wolverhampton!
8. Who would you like to support?
All time probably Motorhead, but obviously that's pretty impossible these days. Out of the current crop of greats, it's gotta be massive wagons. Absolute inspirations.
9. Who not?
Coldplay, enough said!
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
We all have, and honestly, just ride it out. The day you get zero stage fright is the day you've stopped caring about what you do.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Massive Wagons, Status Quo, Mason Hill, Motorhead, AC/DC.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Honestly, autographs, we'll never get used to them.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Honestly, they're amazing; we couldn't ask for better. A lot of them became some of my closest friends.
14. What do you think of our site?
You champion new music, which automatically makes you amazing, and we'll be promoting you on our own socials too
