Interviews: The Last Sound Revelation

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Instrumental Post-Metal band The Last Sound Revelation from Italy. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out just like that?

The name The Last Sound Revelation came quite naturally. We wanted something that could reflect the intensity of music as a universal language, able to reach the soul beyond words. It wasn’t something overplanned, but rather a name that appeared and immediately felt right for who we are.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We’ve always been fascinated by progressive and instrumental music because it allows us to explore without limits—shaping atmospheres, emotions, and stories only with sound. It’s a way to connect deeply with listeners on a spiritual and emotional level.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we already knew each other from the local music scene and from previous collaborations. The band was born from both friendship and the strong desire to create something unique together.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Francesco: Opeth

Valerio: Dream Theater

Niccolò: Tool

Tiziano: Guns and Roses

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We are inspired by science, philosophy, and the mysteries of the universe—concepts like quantum physics, time, and spirituality. At the same time, personal experiences and emotions play a big role in shaping our sound.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Rome, in one of our favorite venues. Playing live in our city always has a special energy.

7. Where would you like to act?

We’d love to play at major European festivals, but also in intimate settings where the audience can fully experience the depth of our music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be amazing to collaborate with artists like Steven Wilson or Devin Townsend, who both represent freedom of expression and visionary creativity.

9. Whom not?

We don’t think in terms of “whom not.” Music is about sharing and discovering. The only thing we avoid is collaborating with someone who doesn’t respect authenticity.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes, in the early days, we all experienced a little stage fright. The key is to focus on the music, not on the fear. Once you connect with your instrument and the audience, everything flows naturally. Breathing and remembering that people are there to enjoy the music, not to judge you, also helps.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Dream Theater, Opeth, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd—bands that dared to expand boundaries and create immersive soundscapes.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Recently, one of our fans told us that listening to our music felt like “the air I breathe” and compared it to something Joe Satriani could have written, but even fresher and new-sounding. He said our track was so addictive that he felt absolutely hungry for a new album, soon, like he needed it to live. It was unusual, intense, and truly flattering—definitely one of the most memorable things we’ve ever heard from a fan.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are amazing. They truly listen, not only with their ears but with their hearts. Without them, none of this would make sense.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s a great space for bands to share their stories and music, and for fans to discover new projects. We really appreciate your support.

15. Something to add?

Yes. Our new album, The Proximity Effect, will be released on November 21st, 2025, through Argonauta Records. It is much more than just a collection of songs; it’s a conceptual journey. The title refers to the phenomenon of “proximity” not only in sound, but also in human connection, quantum entanglement, and spiritual awareness. We can’t wait to share it with you all!
