Band Biographies: Symphony Of Destiny
Symphony of Destiny is a Symphonic Metal band founded in Richmond,
Virginia, in early 2025. Inspired by bands such as Nightwish, Epica, Eleine,
Delain, Seven Spires, Visions of Atlantis, and many more. We perform
once a month on average. Since our first show in March 2025, we have
played 2 shows at The Canal Club. First show at The Canal Club with local
bands, 2nd show at The Canal Club opening for Washington D.C. Heavy
Metal band A Sound Of Thunder. We have also played at Another Round
Bar & Grill as well as Super Rad Arcade in Lynchburg, VA.
Symphony of Destiny was founded by guitar player Wesley Eldridge. A
Music Major who graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a
Bachelor's Degree in Music: Classical Guitar Performance. Wesley uses
his knowledge and experience from university and playing in other metal
bands to apply to the band's songwriting, networking with other bands, and
live performance experience for audience members.
Vocalist for Symphony of Destiny, Anne Dueweke, is a classically trained
opera singer whose journey began in 2005. She fell in love with the drama,
weirdness, and complexity behind classical music. These elements lead to
her development of prowess in vocal ability and perfect alignment with the
style of Symphony of Destiny.
Keyboardist for Symphony of Destiny, Tom Wright, has musical influences
that stem from growing up in New Jersey, listening to and playing
keyboards in Hard Rock and Progressive Rock bands. With an education in
music and years of experience on his instrument, Tom plays a vital role in
shaping the sound of Symphony of Destiny in live performances.
Drummer for Symphony of Destiny, Patrick DeRoche, is a classically
trained percussionist who also received music education during his
time at Virginia Commonwealth University. Patrick’s years of experience
and ability to adapt on the drums form the backbone behind the music of
Symphony of Destiny. Patrick also plays drums for Richmond, VA, industrial
metal band, Synthetic Nightmare.
