Behind The Tracks: Engines Of Aggression - Nightmares In Pain Town (Single) (2025)

The story stems from back in the past... my girlfriend at the time wanted to go with me to see the band D.R.I. I told her the crowd might be pretty rowdy, but she still wanted to go.

 

Of course, there was a huge mosh pit, and at one point, I saw her being "pushed and pulled all over the place, at which point I grabbed her and fought to get her back to safety. She was all covered in sweat with a big smile on her face (that's when I knew she was a keeper), she lost the barrettes in her hair and one earring, but she said it was worth it.

 

Strangely enough, years later, we ended up playing a show with D.R.I. in Portland, Oregon. Once again, a huge moshpit (for the US this time), my mom and dad were at the show. Pops says to me, "These kids like to beat the SHIT outta each other to your music, huh??... I don't get it." R.I.P. Mom and Dad - they were always supportive of the music, even though my mom said, "Please no more tattoo,s honey" (I disregarded that request) and Dad once said, "Thanks for the posters, but I can't show these to my friends at CHURCH!" Oh man... I miss them.
