Behind The Artworks: Asylum Road - Mask Of Oblivion (Single) (2025)

We have loads to thank Paul for. As well as sorting out most of the song itself, Paul recorded and edited the video and created all the artwork. The main idea was simple enough: the mask is a metaphor for putting on a brave face, even when you're dealing with overwhelming depression and anxiety.

 

We've been using a few more metallic shades in our recent pictures and art, so we stuck with that metallic theme. The black backdrop and eyes are the “oblivion”, ... being a metal band, the whole metallic-on-black look just works for us.
