The song was inspired by a real case that shocked all of Greece. A story where a mother was killing her children one by one. They were not interested in referring to names or details.

What touched them was the innocence that is lost, the betrayal of absolute trust, and the inconceivable darkness that can hide behind a face of love.

“Monster” is written from the perspective of a child who is trying to understand what is happening around them and why the person who should be protecting them turns into their greatest fear.
