In this new interview, we sat down with the American Death Metal band, Lecherous Nocturne, to ask questions about their album "Violust". 

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

I feel that this is our strongest material to date. We threw it all at the wall to see what sticks, and it worked very well for us.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name? 

Violust is a play on words that boils down to the lust for violence.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

We all composed songs on this album. I have my hands in every track, whether I wrote it or not. The guys will toss ideas at me, and I will help arrange the tracks.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Serpentance is my favorite as of right now.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is, what is it?

Nothing special to us, just remaining true to the origins of uncompromising savage metal.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

I prefer the listener to explore our lyrics and derive their own meaning.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

I have a litany of people and or inspirations. Personally, it was the sudden, tragic loss of my wife in 2023.
