Interviews About Albums: Dehydrated - Victims: Over 30 Years Of Sickness (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Slovakian Death Metal band Dehydrated to ask questions about their album "Victims: Over 30 Years Of Sickness"

1. What can you say about Victims: Over 30 Years Of Sickness?

First of all, we are very happy with this CD, first of all because the recordings are basically a large cross-section of the history of our band, practically it is our work from the beginning to the present.

The band has had many musicians over the years, and despite this, we are still functioning, and what we do, we do with passion and determination. And we are also very happy that this CD is coming out in the USA and will get into the hands of people who don't know u,s and we hope that they will like it.
And all thanks to Mike from Paragon Records.

2. What is the meaning of the release name?

I think this name is simply fitting and symbolic.

We are victims of metal music, in a good sense of the word; we are victims of life and death, pain, suffering, good and bad experiences.

3. Which one is the composer of the featured materials?

In my opinion, having a band is a team effort; every member can bring an idea or thought, and participate in the creation of songs, but the truth is that I am the only original member since the band's inception, and the guitar riffs are my business.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Ugh, I don't know the answer to this. Since I came up with all the songs, I like them all; it's impossible to say which one is better and which one is worse.

The old songs have their own charm, I have fond memories of them, and the newer songs are perhaps a little more elaborate, but that's because the musicians in the band took turns and everyone left a mark during their time there.

5. Is there a special message in this release? If there is what it is?

I would say that the message has been said a long time ago by all the metal bands in the world.

Music unites us, makes us friends, makes us happy, helps us switch off a little in difficult moments, relax, and have fun.

And that regardless of where we come from, where we live, and what nationality we are.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

I can mention a few lyrics that I think are pretty good, such as Mental Torment, Cold And Bleeding, The Old House, Retribution, Victim...

Some were written by me, and some were written by the singer and a good friend.

7. Which inspirations have been important for these materials? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Musical inspirations come to us from all the good music we listen to, of course, it's mostly metal music, but we also like other genres, whether it's classical music, jazz, film music, or something alternative.

And other inspirations come from the lives of each of us, from the lives of our friends, our loved ones.

Thanks go to all the people who love us, who support us, who help us in any way, and never turn their backs when we need them!!!
