Interviews: From Sheep To Wolves

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Metal band, From Sheep To Wolves, from Malta. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it come out just like that?

Carlo was struggling mentally and emotionally after one of his projects split up and John Castiel named the band from the concept of getting back up after a fall and that Carlo has his own social beliefs of fighting corruption hence from Sheep (the NPC mentality that there's nothing you can do) to wolves (Grabbing life by the balls and standing up for truth and morals)

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We never discussed genre, we just write and play what feels right and let people call out the genre, but we're not tied to any genre, just expressing.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nope, we became friends after auditions

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Carlo: too many options, Korn, NiN, Linkin Park, Porcupine Tree, American Head Charge, too many to call one my favourite.

Julio: Many bands like Korn, Incubus, Foo Fighters, Tool, but my favourite band I’m part of.

Carl: No favourite bands except FSTW (From Sheep To Wolves), but I find myself listening to a lot of 90s and 2000s music.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Carlo: My Thoughts, My Doubts, My Pain and Happiness.

Julio: I don't write songs.

Carl: Life...

6. Where was your last gig?

Rock the South 2025 - Malta

7. Where would you like to act?

Carlo & Julio: Anywhere and Everywhere, but I think a big festival would be the target.

Carl: Outer Space

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Carlo: Brian Head Welch, Jonathan Davis, Trent Reznor

Julio: Slipknot

Carl: Trent Reznor

9. Whom not?

Carlo: Haha, that's a long list... Anyone on the Epstein List

Carl: NIN

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Carlo: All the time, you just say fuck it and do it. The more you do it, the easier it gets

Julio: Not ATM but I probably will piss myself in front of millions of people lol my advice is enjoy yourself and do what you love.

Carl: The Crowd fears me, but I don't fear it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Carlo: Korn, NiN

Julio: All the music that I grew up with, from metal to reggae, salsa, po,p you name it, just to feel the music and how it makes you think and feel emotionally and mentally

Carl: Anything I was listening to while growing up... Audioslave, Rammstein, Linkin Park, POD.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Carlo: Nothing, all our fans so far were humble, appreciative, and supportive of our music, maybe some sexual requests, but that's normal since our bassist is so good-looking 😉

Julio: A baby

Carl: Not to make a baby with her but to be her baby.

13. What do you think of your fans?

If it weren't for them, we wouldn't be here. The fans feed the band.

14. What do you think of our site?

Top Notch, professional, easy to navigate, no B.S (Bull shit)

15. Something to add?

Carlo: In a world that's gone completely sideways Music keeps us alive, and the listeners keeps Music alive and for that we thank you.

Julio: Make music because it’s the best therapy in this crazy world

Carl: I only subtract.
