Behind The Artworks: Black Reuss - Death (2026)
The artwork of Death reduces the album’s concept to its most essential form. A deep black surface
dominates the image — textured, layered, and absorbing — symbolizing the vast and unknowable
space surrounding existence. Cutting through this darkness is a fragile yellow line.
This line represents the line of life. It moves unevenly, rising and falling, reflecting the unpredictable
rhythm of living. It is not straight or controlled, but organic and fragile. At a certain point, the line fades
and disappears into the black, ending in never-ending darkness.
There is no climax and no promise of what follows. The image does not explain or comfort — it
observes. Like the album itself, the artwork accepts the moment where life ends and allows silence to
remain.
