Interviews About Albums: Microwaves – Temporal Shifter (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the American Math Rock/Experimental Rock artist Microwaves to ask questions about his album "Temporal Shifter"

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

This one leans more toward what has become known in the music world as metal. Still, it's probably a far cry from being conventional.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

It circles around themes of reaching into one's past in order to evolve, and how that can be a never-ending loop of sorts. The past is in the future is in the past, etc.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Our guitarist, David Kuzy, writes many of the initial pieces of music, but we all work on them together after that.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

That really depends on what you plan on doing with the song. I think that every song on the album plays a specific role.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Please take care of the Earth while it's still here and listen more where you would normally talk.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

"Learn to walk and talk / Superb electroshock."

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Well... Yes, all of those.

8. Something to add?

Adopt a pet.
