Interviews: Evil Age

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Death Metal band Evil Age from Canada. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

It was a very tedious event of going through a billion names because everything is taken, lol. We somehow stumbled on Evil Age, and it just fit perfectly.

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

Very Organically, and I don’t think we fail in a specific genre really, we have so many influences, spanning a wide range of Punk, Metal, and Hardcore. It's hard to really nail down a genre.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

We have known each other for a very long time. We have all played in previous bands together. Three of us started in a hardcore band called Rise Over Run, then later we were in a thrash band called Fog of Leprosy 

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

Joe Vocals/Bass – Judas Priest

Mark Vocal/Guitar – Metallica (first 5 albums!!!!!) 

Caleb Drums – Black Sabbath 

Chris Guitar – Red Fang

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

To be in a band with your friends, jamming out radical riffs. Nothing better than when you are playing a new riff, and it clicks. Magic.

6. Where was your last gig?

Last gig we played was in November in Niagara Falls with our friends Cell Press and Greber. Killer show, killer people.

7. Where would you like to perform in the future? 

Anywhere!

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

As far as collaboration, we are just focused on our shit right now.

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

Metallica fuck them!

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Oh, for sure, a long time ago. But usually, the easiest thing to do is take a shot of something. If you don’t drink, get your friend to give you a shot across the jaw. That will do it as well.

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

This is an endless list of great bands. I feel bad even putting names because I know I will miss some, but here goes. - Entombed, Ghoul, Wolf Brigade, Cave In, Melvins, Sepultura, and many more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not sure, don’t have many yet lol.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Anyone who is into Evil Age must be the greatest type of human on this earth. You will never find a better human around, cause most of them are scum.

14. What do you think of our site?

A great place for metal bands to get exposure to a bigger audience.
