Interviews: Girlzeroth

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band Girlzeroth. Check out the interview and this amazing band.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

Neng: We got the band's name from a game my brother often played. "The Battle of Azeroth," We took her last name "zeroth" and added "girl" in the front. Because the band was formed by Neng and her older brother. and be "girlzeroth"

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

Neng: Because it is bold and unique, death metal is my taste that grew purely without any coercion from anywhere.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Neng: Of course, because we grew up together in the underground music scene. 

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

Neng: Psycroptic (neng), Lamb of God (nauval), Dying Fetus (emil), Suffocation (andry)

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Neng: Besides literature and watching films, Neng draws a lot of inspiration from the people around her, mostly from social conditions or issues occurring in our country.

6. Where was your last gig?

Neng: Sukabumi eundeur west java

7. Where would you like to perform in the future?

Neng: Of course, our dream is to tour Europe and Asia, and our dream is to win the "wacken" competition. Even though it sounds impossible, hahaha :D

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

Neng: Lamb of god, Aborted, Psycroptic, Slipknot, and many more .

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

Neng: Dream Theater, because I'm afraid of getting scolded by Jordan Rudeness hahaha, he's very detailed.

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Neng: Yes, of course, we often suffer from stage fright. Besides light exercise, we do things we enjoy... Neng eats a lot; her favorite foods are seblak, meatballs, and others. :D

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Neng: for the second album, most of it was psychroptic and was cancelled

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Neng: While peeling a mango on stage, he said he wanted to eat "rujak" with Neng. Rujak is like a salad :D

13. What do you think of your fans?

Neng: They are the most honest listeners. If there's material on our album that isn't pleasing to the ear, they'll tell you right away. They've been disappointed since the vocalist change from a woman to a man. But what can we do? The band must go on. I have to release the second album.

14. What do you think of our site?

Neng: A unique site unlike any other, where they cover the material in such detail that I even have to explain each song on my album. And it's fun.

15. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Neng: I just wanted to ask the organizers of major metal events like "Wacken" what makes them interested in allowing bands to play there. Besides material and performance, what are the crucial factors they consider when selecting and allowing a band? :D
