Interviews: Inclination Of Direction
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Metal band Inclination Of Direction from the USA. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?
The name INCLINATION OF DIRECTION comes from one of my favorite bands, and favorite album, and favorite song...lol. Black Sabbath Sabotage, the song is The Thrill of It All. The opening line to the song is "Inclination of Direction. We are all Sabbath heads, so it just fits perfectly. and there is a twisted meaning there as well...
2. Why did you choose to play this genre?
We are currently torn between several genres, and our music shows this. We love deathcore, hardcore, Doom, progressive, etc. So we try to incorporate each style on every album. We have fans that are like, "Man, you guys need to do more hardcore," and then we have fans that are like, "Why you gotta be screaming all the time, man?" lol, so we try to please everybody. Currently, hardcore shows in our area are limited, so we do double duty. But we love the hardcore, so we will be expanding more of this on our next album.
3. Did you know each other before forming the band?
I came here from Knoxville and formed a band. Jason and Terry (our original bassist) were best friends, and we gelled pretty well. Terry left after the 2nd album and was replaced by Eric Noble in 2020. He was from the band Piercing Deception.
4. What is each band member's favorite band?
Franks are Fear Factory/Black Sabbath/ Erics are everything black metal or death metal, Jasons are Slayer, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I am basically inspired by doom and gloom, and of course, the opposite of that-Glee and Doom =Gloom. I write about good and evil just by what I see in the world every day.
6. Where was your last gig?
Last Gig was Shagnastys in Huntsville, AL.
