Interviews: Stud Farm Mafia

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Rock band Stud Farm Mafia from England. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name?

Cole: We were in the village of Turville, doing a pilgrimage to the site of Vicar of Dibley

Nath: …and stumbled across a Stud Farm when mucking about, lost in a field.

2. Where is the band based?

Cole: Oxfordshire

3. Why did you want to play this genre?

Nath: Hey, it’s only Rock n Roll, but we like it!

Cole: Plus y’know, our love of big, groovy riffage

4. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nath: Yes, Cole and I went to primary school together, but we weren’t friends for another ten years.

Cole: I can’t blame him; I’m incredibly annoying.

5. What is each band member’s favourite band?

Nath: AC/DC

Cole: Black Sabbath, I think, but it changes every week. Had a Don Broco phase recently, love Biffy Clyro too.

6. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Nath: At the moment, it’s this insane world we live in

7. Where was your last gig?

Nath: The Star Inn - Guildford

8. Where would you like to play?

Cole: Underworld - Camden

9. Who would you like to share stages with?

Nath: There are loads of bands! Don Broco, Cleopatrick, Soft Play, Biffy Clyro, Limp Bizkit, Turnstile, Demob Happy

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Cole: Oh, all the time, just got to power through!

Nath: I advise a shot of Jameson’s and some breathing apparatus

11. Which bands/artists have inspired you the most?

Nath: Biffy Clyro, The Darkness, Turbowolf, Dead Poets Society

12. What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Cole: A copy of our logo so they can get it tattooed

13. What do you think of your fans? How important are they to you?

Nath: They’re the people we do this for! We’ve always had incredible support, which we never take for granted. They help keep this made dream going!

14. What do you think of our website?

Cole: Love it! Anyone who supports grassroots music is awesome

15. Anything to add? New music, gigs, etc.?

Our new EP ‘Did You Have a Good Weekend?’ hits your local internet on March 17 th, and we’ve got a ridiculous music video coming out shortly before that, keep your eyes peeled!
