Behind The Artworks: Poseydon - Time Is A River And The Waters Are Red (2026)

Tom (vocalist Poseydon): For the "Behind the Artwork," I had this in mind regarding an explanation.

The album cover is a bit of a free expression of the album title.

“Time is a river, and the waters are red”

You see the god of the sea, Poseidon, holding a broken hourglass from which a red river flows away.

Time is like a river, flowing through nature. Calm and quiet, but sometimes also very turbulent. Just like everybody's life, the calm and quiet alternates with all kinds of setbacks.

“And the waters are red” is more a reference to the dark side of our lives. If we look at the past months/years in different parts of the world, with all the bickering and the envy, resulting in wars. The calm “water of life” is colored red by all the death and destruction around us.
