Interviews: Cryonic Temple

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Metal/Power Metal band Cryonic Temple from Sweden. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it just come out like that?

The founding member Esa, together with another member of the original line-up, watched a documentary of cryo genetics, and the band name came out of that.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It is an honest genre, even though the themes usually surround fantasy. The playstyle is honest and real.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The original line-up knew each other from different projects and shared the same rehearsal room. The current line-up has gotten to know each other in a simulated way. Musicians know musicians' kind of world.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Esa: Judas Priest

Markus: Helloween

Thomas: Metallica

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Personal experiences blended with events going on in the world and history.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last big show was on Sabaton Open Air 2022.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wacken Open Air is a big dream.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Judas Priest, Helloween, Iron Maiden.

9. Whom not?

Kanye West, P.Diddy, and Jeffrey Epstein.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. It is all about practice. The more you play, the less scary it gets. Although playing for friends and family is a LOT scarier than playing in front of strangers. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Judas Priest and Iron Maiden have always been huge inspirations. We try to involve all members’ influences, which results in the CT sound.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We got to sign a guitar when we toured Japan in 2018. This guitar was signed by heroes such as Malmsteen, slash and many more. Maybe not so weird, but it felt weird to put our names on a guitar alongside heroes.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Of course, we love them. Very loyal, devoted and understanding. We have gone through many changes in the band, but the fans have always stayed on out side. This is nothing we take for granted, and we feel so fortunate.

14. What do you think of our site?

Cool site! Keep up the good work! Love that people want to keep it quite old school with zines
