Interviews: The Missprint

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Indie Rock band The Missprint from Scotland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it just come out like that?

Nobody in life is perfect, so we wanted to express that through something that's considered an accident, because people are made through their mistakes, and we want to inspire people to own it.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We don't come under one set genre; we are a rock band that will experiment and suit everyone.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Joshua and Daniel have known each other since primary school for more than 10 years, and they've been close friends since. The same for Kyle and john and when all 4 of us met, we knew what we had to do.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Daniel's favourite band is Ice Nine Kills

Kyle's Favourite band is Oasis

Johns is the Stone Roses

Joshua’s is Radiohead

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Inspiration for our songs comes in different forms, such as life events, hypothetical situations, and anthems that inspire.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in the wee red bar up in Edinburgh on our first away day gig supporting We Are The Young.

7. Where would you like to act?

In our current situation, we’d be happy to play anywhere, but a standout for us will always be King Tut's

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We'd be happy to play with anyone, really, whether it's a bigger band or a smaller band, as long as they're nice enough people to interact with.

9. Whom not?

People who underestimate us due to our age

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

As a band in our early stages, the stage presence is still new to us. There’s only one way to beat stage fright, and it’s just go for it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Daniel has been inspired by The band "Creeper" for how they tell story or use great original material for their songs, while kyle is inspired by life in general and sees it as a way to express himself.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

As we are just starting out, our fan base is mainly friends and family.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans as much as we love our music, our fans consisting of our friends and family, and more people who listen to us for every gig we go to.

14. What do you think of our site?

We see it as a great way to give smaller artists a place to speak.
