Interviews: Riftpatrol

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Symphonic Metal band Riftpatrol. Check out the interview and follow the band on their INSTAGRAM PROFILE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name?

Riftpatrol comes from the idea of moving between worlds, crossing boundaries between genres, styles, and collaborators. It reflects the way the project jumps between different sounds and perspectives.

2. Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

It developed organically out of the desire to not be limited by expectations, beliefs, or fixed identities.

3. Why did you choose to play this genre?

It felt like the right space for this collaboration, especially for Greta’s voice. The contrast between softness and intensity fits both the vocals and the lyrical themes.

4. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Riftpatrol is a solo-driven project with changing collaborators, so it’s built around working with different artists rather than a fixed lineup.

5. What is each band member's favorite band?

Linkin Park and Gorillaz.

6. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Real life: experiences, situations, and emotions that actually happen.

7. Where was your last gig?

No live shows (yet).

8. Where would you like to perform in the future?

Tomorrowland.

9. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

Realistically, right now: Evil Choco. In the future: Zach de la Rocha.

10. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

Only the extremes.

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Gorillaz.

12. What do you think of our site?

It’s a great platform for discovering new music and giving artists a space to tell their story.
