Track By Tracks: Karcius - Black Soul Sickness (2026)

BLACK SOUL SICKNESS follows a protagonist haunted by generational trauma—“family ghosts” that refuse to stay buried. Forced inward, he undergoes a brutal psychological descent: a passage through darkness, resistance, and memory. What begins as decay becomes confrontation, and ultimately, transformation. Each track represents a stage in that passage.

1. WALLOW:

The descent begins in memory.

The protagonist is trapped in fragmented recollections of family members lost under sudden, unresolved circumstances. These ghosts are not passive—they replay, distort, and consume. Guilt and unanswered questions erode his stability. For the first time, he recognizes the damage: his fear of the past has poisoned his connection to the present.

-“So here in this place fear has held you back for far too long...”

2. OUT OF NOTHING:

Fear without form.

He feels pursued, but cannot name what follows him. Instead of confronting it, he retreats— avoiding conflict, numbing discomfort, drifting further from control. His behaviours become cyclical, self-defeating. He knows something is wrong. He just doesn’t know how to face it. -“Can we find a way to deal with things insane? Oh It’s coming our way...”

3. DARKEST HEIR:

The pattern reveals itself. Digging into his family history, he uncovers a lineage marked by repetition—trauma passed down, unchallenged. He begins to understand that his suffering is not random. It is inherited, reinforced, and sustained by his own avoidance. The realization is brutal: he is both victim and architect of his condition.

-“Break from the sickness, break from the cycles. This is the cage where you nurture the fear...”

4. SLOW DOWN SON:

Collapse.

The pressure breaks him. Compulsion, addiction, and emotional exhaustion converge. There is no illusion of control left. He returns to something familiar—home, family, warmth—not as a solution, but as a last refuge. For the first time, he stops running.

-“When the darkness washes over, you can finally breathe...”

5. RISE:

Clarity through confrontation.

He sees the mechanisms clearly now—his compulsions, his dependencies, the chemical and psychological loops that have defined him. There is no denial left. The path forward is long and uncertain, but one truth is undeniable: stopping now means falling back. So he continues. -“I’ve got a long way to go, dealing with my yesterdays, so I can’t stop it now...”

6. AWAKENING THE SPIRIT:

A shift in time. A shift in perspective.

In a distant past, a wandering group discovers a riverside gathering—people united in ritual, connection, and shared purpose. Strangers are welcomed, knowledge is exchanged, and something essential is restored. This is not escape. It is memory at a deeper level—humanity before fracture. A reminder that healing is collective, not solitary. -“The knowledge shared saved them from the BLACK SOUL SICKNESS...”

7. DUSTING MY COAT:

Release.

He looks back one last time—at the dead, the lost, the words never spoken, the moments that will never exist. There is grief, but no resistance left. The past cannot be repaired. So he lets it go. Not as defeat—but as departure.
-“Walking those last few miles. One final leap to be high...”
