Track By Tracks: AUTUMNBLAZE - Glut (2026)
1. Licht aus (Light out):
The very first song we have written for the GLUT album. Sets the tone for the whole record. Simple, very direct, and focused.
2. Kerkersonne (Dungeon Sun):
Slower song with some Dissection vibes in the verses. The chorus makes the contrast. The favorite song of our producer, Markus Stock.
3. Als das Dunkel Feuer fing (When darkness caught fire):
A very melodic song with a strong and hymnlike chorus. Lyrically, there are Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings metaphors we used to intensify the meaning.
4. Polarlichter (Northern Lights):
One of the hit songs of the album. Very catchy and melodic. Just a few chords. I really love the vocal line of the chorus. Lyrically, it deals with the people who suffer from war.
5. Die Blüten Satans (The blossoms of Satan):
First time we used the word “Satan” in a song title. Fast and aggressive, yet also melodic. Live banger for sure.
6. Heilung (Healing):
This song is one of the centerpieces of GLUT. Very unusual song for us. Spoken words in the verses and a super catchy chorus. In this song, you find backing vocals from my youngest daughter. Very proud. Lyrically, the most personal song I have ever written.
7. Trümmerlandpoesie (Rubble land poetry):
When I wrote this one, I had Darkthrone and Thees Uhlmann (German songwriter) in mind. So this is a song of contrasts, definitely. Black Metal and Pop.
8. Glut (Ember):
Actually, the very last song we wrote for the album. We thought it would be cool to have a title track. And the song turned out fantastic. Some Bleak vibes in the verses. One of my personal faves.
9. Der Idiot (The Idiot):
Lyrics are based on a Dostojewski book. Short and intense song.
10. Mondmann (Moonman):
Again, a very poppy and melodic song. Quite unusual for Autumnblaze but works very fine.
11. Geisteskind (Brainchild):
The doom song. Very slow and intense. But not the typical doom sound you would imagine.
12. Schwarzes Gold (Black gold):
This one we wrote right after Light Out. Some melodic black metal vibes here.
13. Albtraum (Nightmare):
Also a quite personal song. Dark and gloomy ambience. Especially in the end part.
