‘Unleash The Beast’ is a battle cry — a fight to the death, but also a reflection of the times we’re living in. At its core, the song is about going to war, both externally and within ourselves.

The track wasn’t planned. I had no intention of laying down screams, and until that point, Minute After Midnight had always been built around clean vocals. Somehow, the song demanded something different. ‘Unleash The Beast’ became the first time I ever truly explored screaming, and it happened naturally in the moment.

The production felt almost ceremonial while creating it, primal, apocalyptic, and layered with meanings I wanted to leave open for interpretation. To me, the ‘beast’ was never about unleashing something demonic or destructive, but about confronting our inner shadow and transforming it into strength.

Ultimately, the song became an ode to my younger self,  the version of me who grew up playing in heavy bands and fell in love with heavier music. ‘Unleash The Beast’ was a return to the genre that shaped me, filtered through everything I’ve experienced since.
