Interviews: Polarnova

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Polamova. Check it out!.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or did it just come out like that?

We liked the idea of something cold, cos some bands we like have something cold related in their name, and it sounds good. So we opted for the polar; we also liked the word nova, probably influenced by Oasis. We were also looking for a word that could be pronounced both in English and in Spanish, so we joined the two together, and bang. Sounds decent.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because guitar music is the shit, and we don’t see ourselves in our bedroom mixing already manufactured sounds, but never say no.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Tom likes British indie rock, and also some older rock music. Adri likes Fontaines, Lucas (guitar) likes jazz music and classical. Lucas (drums) likes…. Lately we've been all listening to new stuff, Overpass, Fontaines, Royston, Jade Street

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything you can take influence from anything. Whether it’s a film, music, a story, or an experience in life

6. Where was your last gig?

Caja blanca, Málaga

7. Where would you like to act?

Glastonbury is the real goal; headline it

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Sam fender

9. Whom not?

Anyone who’s shit

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Just jump around a bit, get warm, and breathe. Getting nervous before a gig is completely normal. We don't really get nervous tho, we love what we do and can't wait to share with the people watching.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Probably Oasis and Arctic Monkeys

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Can’t really think of anything weird, our fans are quite hinged thus far

Legends, couldn’t do it without them.
