Behind The Scenes: Bitter - Malevolent (Official Video)
Malevolent was the very first song we wrote for the band back in 2024. As we developed the concept, we bonded slowly as a new unit and built the cultural cornerstones of the band. It is only after fully composing it that the idea of Slamosaurus Rex appeared. As we began to incorporate dinosaurs into our content, we also found ourselves ready to make a clip, and with the idea of Slamosaurus Rex making its way into our mind, we embraced the concept, and Yan searched t-rex costumes online, looking for 5 different colors. Once found, everything kinda locked in naturally. We ordered the cover of the EP from an artist and started to work on the video. We did not have a lot of budget, so we bought a smoke machine, a few lights, and rented a popular studio to film the whole thing with a rented pro camera. Yan's wife, Martine, filmed the whole thing, apart from the metro scene where she is one of the dinosaurs as our guitar player, Michael, for all the love he has for us and the project, wasn't going to do that part. Yan used his video game development skills and placed a few pieces of tape here and there for us to be able to take breaks and many takes, and keep the cohesion. It was filmed in about 5 hours in two locations: the studio and the metro station. The latter was quite wild; it was late and raining outside, a lot of people were inside the doorways smoking weird stuff and tripping, looking at us run in dinosaur costumes.
