Behind The Tracks: Wine Lips - Projector (Single) (2026)

Projector is probably one of the first demos I wrote for the new record. I remember showing an early version of the song to my partner, and she said she didn’t like it. Funny that it became one of the first singles.

 

For us, it’s cool because it’s the first song we released with Aurora singing lead vocals! There is a demo kicking around somewhere with me singing on it, but Aurora’s voice is way more effective and hits just right on the track! The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory, but they describe a person who projects all of their problems and anxieties on others around them to better themselves. Something that seems to be a relatable topic these days.

 

We recorded at the Sugar Shack in London, Ontario, with our long-time friend Simon Larochette. The song features Aurora on drums and vocals, Cam on guitars, and Slim on bass.
