Album Descriptions: Carceral - Descending Reprisal (2026)

Descending Reprisal was born from an idea that began in the early 2000s: combining the riff language of Death Metal, and some Thrash, with the short, direct structures of Grindcore and Powerviolence. The concept remained dormant for years while I played in different bands, worked on other projects, and continued developing as a musician. In 2019, a large amount of new material was written, but it was only in December 2024 that I realized those compositions were connected to the original idea, and so Carceral was formed, bringing together the musicians who would, as a band, share this vision and turn it into a complete album.
