Behind The Artworks: Christine Plays Viola - At Last, I Found You (Fear Increases Violent Emotions) (Single) (2026)

Italian darkwave / post-punk band Christine Plays Viola completes the story surrounding their 2026 album, F.I.V.E. (Fear Increases Violent Emotions), with the release of new standalone single ‘At Last, I Found You (Fear Increases Violent Emotions)’ on 22 July 2026. ‘At Last, I Found You’ was written during the F.I.V.E. sessions but intentionally held back until listeners had time to fully absorb the album, before emerging as its final companion piece.

 

Speaking to Breathing the Core about the single’s cover artwork, guitarist and bandleader Fabrizio Giampietro says:

 

“The artwork was developed around the image of a cracked porcelain heart held between two opposing hands. We chose porcelain because it can appear beautiful and complete from a distance, while remaining extremely fragile and impossible to repair without leaving visible scars. One hand seems protective, while the other is darker and marked by violence, reflecting the tension within the song between care and destruction. The red thread suggests both destiny and an open wound, connecting this final single to the wider F.I.V.E. narrative. Against the completely black background, the image feels suspended outside time, capturing the moment when the protagonist finally confronts the damaged part of himself he has been searching for.” 

Released via Bandcamp, Spotify, and all major digital platforms on 22 July, ‘At Last, I Found You (Fear Increases Violent Emotions)’ marks Christine Plays Viola’s first standalone release since the F.I.V.E. album.

 

The band continues touring in support of the album between August and October, with confirmed dates across Poland, Spain, England, and Germany, and additional shows still being confirmed.
