Behind The Tracks: Public Figure - sober HUNGOVER (Single) (2026)

Public Figure: "sober HUNGOVER" is the first single off our upcoming EP titled Create/Consume. The overarching theme of this EP is taking two things that are seemingly dichotomous, but actually are more intertwined than you think. "sober HUNGOVER" is about two things that seem opposite of each other but can’t exist without the other; it represents both the traditional hangover involving alcohol AND, in mental health, the emotional hangover. Our vocalist, Roger, is approaching 4 years of sobriety, and even though he is completely sober, he’s realized that alcohol isn’t the only thing that can bring on the symptoms of a hangover. Sometimes it's the aftermath of a panic attack or strong waves of anxiety. Struggling with mental health is something we can all relate to, and that’s exactly what this song is about. Honestly, if you have experienced any type of hangover, you can relate to this song.
