Track By Tracks: The Aeons Torn - Void Artefakkts (2026)
Void Artefakkts brings together Lovecraftian cosmic horror and scientific ideas about the universe. Each track explores the fear that comes with looking into the unknown and finding more questions than answers.
1. Amid the Daemon Flutes:
The album opens at the throne of Azathoth, Lovecraft’s blind god of chaos. Surrounded by the endless sound of daemonic flutes, Azathoth lies at the centre of the universe, where time, space and reason lose their meaning. His presence is the source of the chaos and horror that unfolds throughout the tracks that follow.
2. Echoes of the Darkspace:
Inspired by the Fermi Paradox, this track asks a simple but unsettling question: in a universe so vast and so old, why have we found no sign of intelligent life beyond Earth? Slow and heavy, the song turns this silence into cosmic dread.
3. Rite of Dread:
A cult gathers at a haunted site to perform an ancient ritual. Fire, fear and devotion lead the way as the ceremony reaches into forces that should never be called upon.
4. Ring of Starlit Madness:
This track draws on the “Big Ring”, a huge structure of galaxies that appears to challenge what scientists expect from the universe. If the universe should look roughly the same in every direction, how can such a massive structure exist? “Ring of Starlit Madness” explores the horror hidden in anomalies that remain unexplained.
5. Whispers from the Void:
Could our own galaxy, the Milky Way, lie within a vast, unusually empty region of space? This idea may offer one answer to some of the universe’s biggest mysteries, including why humanity has found no sign of other life. The track turns this possibility into an unsettling question: are we truly alone, or are we only whispers from the void?
6. The Dreamer Beneath Europa’s Tide:
Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, is covered by a thick shell of ice. Beneath it may lie a global ocean containing the conditions needed for life. NASA’s Europa Clipper mission, launched in 2024, is now on its way to study this mysterious moon. In this story, however, something ancient is already sleeping beneath Europa’s frozen surface, and humanity’s search for answers may awaken it.
