Track By Tracks: Jasmeno - Assemblage Of Cinematic Idioms (2026)

EPISODE 1

"Synesthesia Imperialis" was the first composition I composed specifically for the new album. Its lengthy introduction is no accident; it begins with unsettling chords and steadily evolves into an expansive structure culminating in a climactic drum and guitar blast. The song's varied harmonic twists, shifting tempo, and lush dynamics respond to the action-movie soundscape. The bombastic nature of the main melody intersects with calming passages with a dreamlike atmosphere. It's a brilliant opening to the album, clearly warning the listener that they're about to encounter unpredictable content. The evocative voice of Vicotnik from Dødheimsgard, singing an important question about the future, adds extraordinary drama. The song's conclusion is a masterful display of six- string solo, skillfully executed by Marek Depa.

EPISODE 2

"A Code of Equivocation," with its stunning lyrics by Iza Kamrowska-Turska and brilliantly sung by Brian Gawaski, has an almost hit-like tone.

The lead guitar melody, played by Michał Grall, absolutely gives me goosebumps! You never know what awaits you after the next verse or chorus… Then the real magic happens.

Piotr Fiłonowicz paints a dreamy foundation on guitar, while Artur Olkowicz wreaks havoc on fretless bass.

And then two otherworldly solos appear, played on electric guitar by Lecia Louise and Łukasz Kowalski.

Absolutely amazing!

I love this song; it's so subtly diverse and effectively arranged.

EPISODE 3

"His Rebirth" had a completely different compositional intent. I wanted the entire piece to be driven by gradually developing and maximally blown-out percussion.

Aside from the opening, the entire melody is essentially a looped motif in a shimmering variation.

From the very beginning, I knew that Bart Krysiuk of Patriarkh should sing the entire piece. While we were filming the video for this song, the role of Prophet Elijah emerged quite naturally, perfectly meshing with the original lyrical theme of the coming of the Antichrist. Krysiuk's role fit perfectly with the entire original vision.

Then a virtuoso synthesizer solo by Robert Kołakowski appears in the middle.

The composition closes with a wonderful flamenco guitar part by Jakub Wagner, adapted to the song's underlying melody.

EPISODE 4

"The Void" is a veritable soundtrack inspired by music from thrillers or horror films, only to transform into music straight from "Tom & Jerry" or "Loony Tunes" cartoons. Almost the entire track is a richly illustrated catalog of personalities. The haunting voice of Snorre Ruch from Thorns official serves as a frame, and in the middle, it's filled with a plethora of solos, phenomenally crafted by Tomasz Andrzejewski, Thrufel from Yattering, and Michał Grall.

At the very end of the arrangement, I shortened the entire track and added my own piano solo. Like in Hanna-Barbera cartoons, there are complete plot and narrative twists every now and then.

It's a very interesting and intelligently designed musical architecture.

I can't forget Brian's exquisite vocal cascades and backing vocals, and Artur's masterful bass playing.

EPISODE 5

"The Provocation ov Fate" is another banger.

The beginning can be misleading, especially when Slavo Maryniewski of Armagedon recites a very poetically important message.

This is another composition with a host of special guests. At the beginning, Grall makes his presence known with the first solo, while halfway through the song, Vicotnik responds with his sensitivity again, this time with a two-part guitar.

Marc Grewe of Morgoth delivers a thought-provoking and captivating line with his captivating vocal timbre.

At the end of the song, there's a complete 180-degree turn in mood and atmosphere. Piotr Fiłonowicz reappears in a melancholic character with his seductive guitar, accompanied by a beautifully placed dialogue between Lecia Louise and Sasha Janowicz.

Of course, Artur once again plays with fretless bass, and Brian outdid himself with the vocal arrangement.

EPISODE 6

"Seduced by Ambiguity" closes the album in an unconventional way. The uplifting introduction sets the mood and suggests a coming storm before the calm.

This time, the song's structure takes on a completely different universe than the previous one, which relies on repetitions in certain sequences. Here, there's an unbridled freedom of form and style.

Guest appearance by Ryszard Kramarski, caressing the ears with a dreamlike synthesizer solo beautifully combined with a refined guitar passage under the fingers of Tomasz Andrzejewski, introduces a completely different dimension.

Lecia Louise adds flavor with her acoustic guitar sounds, and the only Polish-language sentence is uttered by Asia Żondło, unleashing a hypnotizing riff seasoned with monumental guitar solos by Piotr Fiłonowicz and Michał Grall.

Brian's absolutely phenomenal vocals elevate the entire track into outer space, a true masterpiece!
