Behind The Artworks: Epidemic Scorn - Demolished Globe (2026)

Shindy Reehal: 'I was approached by the band with a rough brief and title for the album 'DEMOLISHED GLOBE' and immediately loved the idea. Taking the very real concept of Humanity and its decline through consumerism, pollution, and wars, I endeavoured to create an image that reflected the current socio-political climate and, of course, those specific points in the brief.

After some back and forth with the band, we decided to go with demons to make the artwork even more symbolic and classical. As a huge fan of the Symbolism movement of the mid-eighteen-hundreds to the early 20th Century, Renaissance and classical Art in general, this was a great choice that I believe lends itself to my style very well.

I believe that as a species we are having a reckoning with our obsession of power, wealth, and individualism.

Corruption, war, and hate are extremely rampant on all fronts, so it was very cathartic to read the band's lyrics and create a piece that reflects our collective distaste at witnessing this.

I'm grateful to have had so much creative freedom with this artwork. The band was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I can't wait to hear the full record!'
