Interviews About Albums: ANTANIA - The Unholy 33 (2026)
1. What can you say about The Unholy 33?
It’s technically more advanced than our previous release. Its maturity about it I really like. 33, Frazzledrip, SnowAngel, and Kultz have a more evolved sound.
2. What is the meaning of the album name?
In the 1500s, a mastiff dog named "Becerrillo", a trained assassin, got loose and killed "33" people.
The song 33 is about him, and the ghosts of the 34 dogs he murdered were noted to hover in the area. They called the area the Unholy 33. We love cats and dogs, so we were happy to name the album after a trained assassin dog.
3. Who is the composer of The Unholy 33?
I write mostly everything; Kali works hard on vocals and will add in her ideas while I am writing songs.
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
I really like 33. It’s a more technical version of our previous release. The whole album is a little bit more evolved.
5. Is there a special message in this album? If there is, what is it?
No special message. All our songs are true crime/occult. This release ventures more into strange and rare true crime stories.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
33 is about a murderous dog, and it’s from his perspective
Lyrics "33"
I feel your fear
7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank specially?
We have to dedicate this release to Cronos. He was a massive inspiration for me. Without him, none of our great blackened musicians would be here today. Including myself. He opened this world of blackened music
