Interviews About Albums: Boneyard - Black Static (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Canadian Hard Rock/Metal band Boneyard to ask questions about their album, "Black Static".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

That it's WAY overdue!! Challenges with having to change studios, etc resulted in a 2-year delay. We're very excited to finally see the release of the album, our first with Lezzy and Garhardt.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

Either Pamtera or I heard it a couple of years ago and thought it would make a cool song or album title. Damn, if we can remember where! Haha!

3. Who is the composer of the CD/EP?

All the band members contributed to the writing. Pamtera writes most of the lyrics.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

We chose Met You in a Dream as our new single. We felt it encompasses our current writing style and influences into one tasty, radio friendly track.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Yes, to apologize to our fans that the new album took so long and to tell them that it will be worth the wait!

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

The deepest lyrics definitely are in the track Not this Way (Joel's Song).

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank specially?

Not this Way (Joel's Song) is based on a true story.of someone close to our singer Pamtera.

8. Something to add?

CD copies of Black Static will be available Oct.23, and to meet all the requests, vinyl copies will be available sometime before Christmas!
