Track By Tracks: Ancestros - Blasfemia Austral (2026)
Orbitor is the primordial track from which all remaining ideas on the album stem—the root from which all speculative techniques applied by Ancestros across Blasfemia Austral extend like rhizomes.
It is a piece that aims to dissolve all stylistic boundaries, exploring the margins in order to occupy the center, and from there, execute a rupture leading outside of metal entirely. Out of a primeval chaos of voices and guitars symbolizing the birth of extreme metal, hyper-riffs begin to unfold, repeating and mutating under the weight of "environmental accumulation".
This accumulation does not follow a logic of modular construction, but rather one of atmospheric stratification, a fractalization of rational architecture where the hierarchy between foreground and background is annulled.
The track culminates in a sonic fissure through which the conceptual elements underpinning the album seep out. The "austral" emerges as a hallucinatory entity displaying all its facets: the murmur of the desert, megalithic depths, the irrationality of the arabesque, the dementia of the baroque…
2. Incognitum Hactenus:
This track illustrates Ancestros’ approach of starting from a sparse set of riff-ideas and exposing them within an irrational loop until total exhaustion is reached. The state of trance is achieved through a cross-pollination of riffs, where horizontal frequencies attempt to resist the weight of vertical resonances in an impenetrable textural counterpoint.
This induces an inevitable destabilization, further heightened in the final stretch by the deployment of massive deterritorialization techniques, where the stratification of nebulous textures acts directly upon the unconscious.
3. Salmodia Aberración:
This track follows a new vector that delves straight into sonic abstraction. We find ourselves before a tangled web of aberrant lines responding to an esoteric infrastructure.
Elements disintegrate without interrupting the overall flow; sections emerge and disappear without adhering to conventional progression.
Esthetic contamination and the shattering of hierarchies: the textural supersedes the rhythmic and the melodic. The background consumes the form.
4. Sangre Solar:
One of the album's most ambitious compositions, as well as its longest. Here, deterritorialization reaches its peak, completely dissolving internal structural logic. It is a sonic organism driving toward maximum fractalization through endless rhizomatic structures.
A non-hierarchical, non-sequential composition—a network without beginning or end that traverses through all styles via nodes, folds, connections, and irrational vanishing points to build a delirious, vibrational anarchitecture.
5. Pálida Luz:
The most minimalist track on the album, and perhaps the darkest.
Guitars construct a network of arpeggios and harmonies over which the vocals spread like a spectre. The album's characteristic power and maximalism enter a state of suspension.
Everything inhabits a zone of indiscernibility, in transit toward something yet undefined. A space is generated where elements cease to be functional, transforming instead into pure presences and abstract forces.
6. Black Drone Templexity:
Throughout the album, there is a deliberate use of differing production approaches. A raw, feral sound is placed at the service of unbridled drumming and synth textures. The collision of frequencies pushes toward total saturation in a track that dispenses with the riffing that dominated much of the record.
The canon of the traditional song structure cracks and dissolves. Everything melts into a continuum where metal becomes unrecognizable and irrational.
