Band Biographies: MeK

MeK is a London-based solo metal project created by musician, songwriter, and producer Faust, combining contemporary heavy music with electronic, industrial, and cinematic influences, alongside elements of classical music and flamenco.

Faust has been active in London's metal scene for more than 15 years. He is a member and bassist of Dāmim and also performs as a live bassist for Lowen. MeK, however, represents a distinct creative path, an independent audiovisual project built around his own music and the evolving universe of MeK // CONSTRUCT.

Influenced by philosophy, spiritual alchemy, occult symbolism and the biomechanical imagery of H.R. Giger, the project explores perception, identity, consciousness and the relationship between the organic and the constructed.

At the centre of this world is The Medium, a human conduit through which the Construct and the organic world connect. Music, imagery and cryptic audiovisual transmissions form interconnected pieces of a larger narrative, deliberately leaving room for individual interpretation.

MeK's debut single, Unawaken, released on 9 October 2026, introduces this universe through a dark, atmospheric, and philosophically driven exploration of consciousness and the paradox of awakening. Official links: https://linktr.ee/mekproject
