Long-running instrumentalists THIS WILL DESTROY YOU will celebrate the tenth anniversary of their eponymous 2008 studio album with a pair of shows in Seattle and Portland respectively where they will perform the record in its entirety. The band will also play the coveted Young Mountain album in full. Tickets go on sale this Friday at thiswilldestroyyou.net. Both shows are all ages and will sell out fast. Don't sleep on this!

Originally issued by Magic Bullet Records, This Will Destroy You was produced by Grammy-winning producer/engineer/mixer John Congleton (Blondie, Marilyn Manson, Bono etc.) at a studio in Spicewood, Texas owned by country music icon Willie Nelson. Critically lauded by fans and critics alike, Rock Sound compared it to, "the soundtrack to the impending apocalypse," and awarded it the fifth best album of the year, Drowned In Sound called it, "a true classic of its kind," while Punknews praised an, "engaging and occasionally stunning listen that marks a recognizable growth."

Dark Operative currently has a special tenth anniversary edition of This Will Destroy You in production, featuring the bonus track "Language Of Memory." Release date to be announced in the coming weeks. In related news, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU is currently finishing the recording of a new full-length as a co-release on Dark Operative and Suicide Squeeze with further details to be announced soon.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU:
3/22/2018 Neumos - Seattle, WA
3/23/2018 Wonder Ballroom - Portland, OR

Late last year, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU unleashed a special single titled, "Kitchen." The track served as the first aural glimpse into the Vespertine project, a collaborative concept wherein the entirety of Chef Jordan Kahn's new Culver City restaurant has been custom-scored by Los Angeles' own THIS WILL DESTROY YOU.

One of seven pieces written for the building itself (and even the space around it), "Kitchen" is the music that diners first hear as they are greeted by Chef Kahn before dinner service begins for the evening. In composing the music for this interaction, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU's Chris King and Jeremy Galindo sought to convey a warm, hospitable - if not reassuring - tone for listeners that may (or may not) be present elsewhere as they discover and explore the spaces in and around Vespertine's looming architectural monolith for the remainder of their stay.

"Kitchen" is out now and streaming via Dark Operative Records at THIS LOCATION.
