Interviews About Albums: Loose Sutures - A Gash with Sharp Teeth and Other Tales (2021)

1. What can you say about this new album?

We are very proud of this album ‘cause we had to pass through lots of problems ( pandemic, the loss of a bandmate, finding a new guitar player, etc.) But we made it and the whole album sounds like we wanted.

2. What is the meaning of the album name?

“Like a cunt with sharp teeth” — it’s a line taken from the song “Sunny Cola.” We started from this point trying to imagine a connection between all the tracks. It’s a mixture of sex, addiction, women’s warship, fear and weird relationships.

3. Who is the composer of the album?

Since the first album, we had all been involved in every step of the creative process. It might happen that one of us comes out with the perfect song, and that’s OK, we just play it as it is. Other times, each one of us adds pieces to the puzzle.

4. If you have to pick one song, which one would you pick?

We haven’t got the “special one” ’cause we love all the tracks, but “Mephisto Rising” pictures exactly the way we changed from the first album: more guitars, rhythm and accuracy.

5. Is there a special message in this LP? If there is what it is?

This album is a collection of tales, there’s a message in every track. Perhaps the main theme is not to fear your deepest and darkest feelings. Just face ’em.

6. Are there some lyrics that you´d love to share?

We put it in front of the cover of the album: words taken from “Last Cry.”

7. Which inspirations haven been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you’d love to thanks specially?

We are inspired by many different things. Just an example: we have a blinking lighted sign saying KEBAB. We imagined a fat, sweaty, angry kebab cook yelling at the customers, “eat my shit, make me rich.” That’s it!

8. Something to add?

We are so glad to get the chance to know you. Thanks to all the people who appreciate our music and to everyone who supports independent live music.
