Interviews: Faith Crisis

This is a new interview with the Deathcore/Death Metal band Faith Crisis from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on his FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

Faith Crisis is a term used a lot in religious cults for when you start to lose your faith. Having grown up in a cult I thought it would fit, and it also just sounds cool in my opinion.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I've wanted to play this genre ever since I heard Whitechapel for the first time in 2017. I'm not really sure why I love it so much, but I haven't gotten tired of it yet after 5 years!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band as of right now is mainly a solo project. I had a guest vocalist feature on 2 of the songs, and I plan on having him for future releases as the main vocalist

4. Each band member's favorite band?

My favorite band is Rush, in the genre, it would probably be Oceano.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Anything that I find scary or interesting. A lot of the time its video games (which is kind of dumb, but I like it!)

6. Where was your last gig?

With this being a solo project I haven't had a chance to play live with this material, but my last gig was with a different band at the Fox Theater in Hurricane, Utah. Which has closed down since

7. Where would you like to act?

A realistic goal is The Complex in SLC, and long-term goal is to play Ozzfest or something like that

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Adam Warren from Oceano is at the top of my list, and Duncan Bentley from Vulvodynia is also up there

9. Who not?

I've never thought about that really. There's probably a lot but at this point, I'm not sure

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

This is probably going to be a long answer, but I've found from the few times I've played live that not very many people can even tell if you mess up a little bit, and that's helped. But When I'm seeing a band that I love and I notice a mistake I actually love that shit. It makes it more raw and human. So I don't know. I have anxiety, so I'll always be nervous, but once I'm up there it's usually fine.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Oceano, Rush, and probably BTBAM have all made me want to make better music

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

With this being a new project I haven't had any that stand out, but I hope I have some stories to tell in the future.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The few fans that I have are very dedicated and reach out a lot. Which is nice!

14. What do you think of our site?

I had never heard of it until you randomly posted my EP without asking (which is actually the first time that's happened) I think it's great for the community, and I've checked out some other great bands from your site.

15. Something to add?

My debut EP was just released today (7/22/22) on every platform you can find music on. So check it out if you want! Thank you!
