Interviews: Tonic Breed

This is a new interview with the Thrash Metal/Groove Metal/Heavy Metal artist Tonic Breed from Norway. Check out the interview and follow the band on his FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

Tonic Breed is a band name as a result of not finding anything unique. We smashed together two words, and here we are.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's something about this genre that gives you energy. Fast and groovy tempo riffs complement each other in a great way.

3. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What brings inspiration at the time? Some of the lyrics can be brought up years after they are first started.

4. Whom would you like to feature with?

Already got a few of them on the latest release, Fuel the Fire. These are people I look up to and am very excited to have on board with this project. Oliver Palotai (Kamelot), Martin Skriubakken (Endezzma), Bernt Jansen (Wig Wam), Bjorn Strid (Soilwork) and Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) are all featured on the latest EP.

5. What bands have inspired you the most?

Depends on what period of time we are referring to. Sometimes songs are inspired by a totally different genre of music. It's weird how songs come to life.

6. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

My soul. I was handed a roll of papyrus, standing in the middle of this pentagram of lit candles, then asked to sign this long paper claiming my soul to be theirs forever. I don't remember what happened next. I just feel cold and empty now.

7. Any words of wisdom to share with our readers?

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

8. What do you think of our site?

Always a pleasure to be featured on sites like this, which covers good music. Thanks for having me.
