Run away is about fleeing from past trauma and dealing with anxiety. These past demons are personified as a man with a chainsaw constantly chasing you while you recover from them. This song has a personal meaning to me as overcoming past trauma has been a big hurdle to get over. Even today, there are some days where I can still feel the man with a chainsaw lurking behind me, ready to attack at any moment.
