Interviews: AVSKRÄDE

This is a new interview with the Black Metal band AVSKRÄDE from Sweden. Check out the entire interview and give them a follow on their FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

Yeah, we put some thought into it. We tried to come up with some good band names, but most of what we came up with were taken. So we went with Avskräde. It's a good name that suits us. Avskräde is an old Swedish word for garbage/waste. Still a word in use today but not very common.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Both of us listen to all kinds of music. From early rock and punk all the way to today's extreme metal.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we knew each other. One day we decided to try doing some music, and here we are. 4. Each band member's favorite band? There are so many. But if we stick to our style Sorhin/Sorhin.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Death is the main ingredient in our lyrics. The inspiration for the music comes from, among other things, nature and darkness. Listening to a really good album can also trigger the creative nerve.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't played live...yet. When? How? Where? The future will tell.

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere. As long as somebody wants to see us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Live? Darkthrone. For the simple reason that it would be great to see them live. Saw Nocturno Culto with Satyricon at Wacken '04 and it was great. One hour of "Darkthrone" live.

9. Who not?

Oh, so many...

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

No, no stagefright. Grab a beer or two, but don't get drunk.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

So many bands. Many bands from the early Black Metal scene. Early punk bands. And bands like Motörhead for example.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not so many weird questions actually. One that has come up a few times is about the drum machine we use on the album. We don't use a drum machine. One of us handles the drumming. But we had to sample the kick to save the recordings because it sounded really bad when we started mixing and mastering the album.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Of course, they are the best fans ever.

14. What do you think of our site?

Checked around and it's a really good site. Great news and interviews.

15. Something to add?

We are working on a bunch of new songs for our next release. But for now, you can check out our debut album "Det stora tunga sjuka". https://youtu.be/qV7WbFDaTOo
