Behind The Tracks: Borts - Los Zapatos (Single) (2022)

Los Zapatos was the last song we wrote for the album. Initially, we started playing it as if it was a mid-tempo driving rock song, but once we hit the studio it became pretty clear that we needed to ramp up the tempo. We kept pushing it and pushing it until the vibe felt right and naturally, that was fast and chaotic, especially with the addition of the tambourine. It ended up sounding like a mashup of The Cure and Blink 182 which is obviously a great combo. The tune was also originally called Shoes but that was boring so we translated it to make it sound far more interesting.
