Track By Tracks: Born Divided - Impending Doom (2022)

1. IMPENDING DOOM:

The title track of the album starts strong. It has a melodic intro and intensifies with fast blast beats along with the guitars. I like the nuances between the melodic and the trash of this piece. The finale is in my opinion one of the best with the vocal melodies.

2. THE SCARS THAT UNITE US:

This track is my favorite on the album because it touches on as many Metal styles as possible: Melodic, Thrash, Prog, Black, Death, and even a clean guitar break with a Pink Floyd-style solo. The Epic solo in the finale is really delicious too.

3. OLD REMORSE:

I love the prog intro with the old 70s synths. This piece is one of the most punchy cleans that Maxim did during this entire album. The finale of this piece is really surprising and heavy.

4. CENSORSHIT:

One of the most THRASH and Raw tracks of the album. It’s fast and every beat is punchy. There is a break in the middle to come back to the prog influences and that leads to the finale which is very brutal and leads to a final climax.

5. HUMAN MASQUERADE:

This track was the calling card for our band. We made our first music video with this track which is melodic and catchy. The proggy and syncopated intro brings a Melodic “Black” riff all mixed with screams and Epic vocal cleans. The Iron Maiden-like melodic finale is totally Epic as well. The plays of the 2 guitarists are highlighted in this song.

6. WE’LL EXIST:

Another more Raw track with a good progressive end as well. A more thrashy track is full of guitar solos. I really like the epic finale in this track and brings the final track very well… We’ve seen you.

7. WE’VE SEEN YOU:

Last track of the IMPENDING DOOM album and also one of the longest… It starts with a Black Metal intro accompanied by the 70s synth keyboard. The mix of the 2 styles is interesting. This track has a lot of blast beats and Black/Death/Thrash riffs. The finale is one of the most powerful with a melodic ostinato Riff that fades out and ends the album.
