Interviews: Gia G

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Instrumental Metal/Instrumental Rock artist, Gia G from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the artist on her FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It's actually my middle Initial G, so Gia G Federico is my legal name, so saying the solo act name GIA G., is kinda catchy

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Gia G is sort my freedom to do many different styles, Metal, shred, rock, alter, indie, blues, jazz, classical, acoustic pop, etc, there is more freedom than with a band, band

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, I met the drummer Mark George through another guitarist, bass player Paul Engle, I met them through my engineer

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Ah. I can't speak totally for them, and even myself, I have many bands and artists I like, but very tough to say, Paul is more of a progressive, blue-style player, and Mark, I feel more oriented to groove metal, and hard rock.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Tough to say sometimes going over scales and modes, listening to other artist, things going on in life past present, and future and sometime it just out of no where new ideas and songs

6. Where was your last gig?

Dec 2021 in Laconia NH

7. Where would you like to act?

Big live open place

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Metallica 

9. Whom not?

Malmsteen lol, to much drama it seems haha

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Oh yes i have , yes pretend your just jamming at your jam room when you go out there to play

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

So many, Jeff Beck RIP :( Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Metallica, Led Zepplin, Queen, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, and many more

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not sure, lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

For the most part there great.
